Getting around the nation's capital is simpler than you think. Our boutique B&B on the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Ave SE is centrally located in the city, yet in a quiet residential neighborhood. Whether you prefer the efficiency of the Metro, the breeze of a bike ride, or a scenic walk, you are just minutes away from DC’s most iconic landmarks.

Pro Tip: Use the Potomac Ave Metro station (Blue/Orange/Silver lines). It is on the corner of Pennsylvania and 14th Street, across the street, at the far corner. From there, you can leave the car behind and access the city and more.

The Potomac Avenue Metro stop is a ½ block away... or use an app to hop on rental bikes to explore all that the nation’s capital has to offer. You can reach the US Capitol, the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court by foot or a quick metro ride. We are one stop to Eastern Market, two stops to the Capitol, three stops to the Air and Space museum.

The 1400 block of Pennsylvania Ave SE has grocery shopping, restaurants and a city favorite 'dive bar'. A must for any visit, the Roost has a variety of vendors doling out local and global bites in a fun atmosphere. It includes pizza, burgers, sushi, Mexican, cocktails & beer, coffee, pastries, and more. The Street Market, across the street offers many grocery items at a reasonable price. The full scale, grocery store is a convenient two block walk.
